The records that artists and theatre companies generate are valuable not only to you, but to future generations of artists, students, and researchers. In this webinar, led by performing arts curator Dr. Eric Colleary from the American Theatre Archive Project, you’ll learn the basics of why this work is important, how to get started, best practices for organizing your archive and making it accessible, and how to plan for the future.
The American Theatre Archive Project is a network of archivists, dramaturgs, and scholars dedicated to preserving the legacy of the American theatre. Our mission is to support theatre makers in archiving records of their work for the benefit of artists, scholars, patrons, and the public through resources like our free archiving manual and consulting archivists program.
The project is supported by donors and the generosity of the American Society for Theatre Research. This webinar is hosted by the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin.
